Adelaida Winery
Nestled in the idyllic West Paso Robles wine region of Adelaida, sits a boutique, family owned winery specializing in Greek varietals.
Dividing time between Florida, Greece and California, the owners initially approached us to design a residence on their sprawling parcel graced with oak woodland, and then soon realized their dream of getting the vineyards planted and winery up and running, which shifted to the main focus.
The tasting room itself is very striking with its massive dry stack stone walls - paying homage to construction methods of their native Greek Heritage. Large walls of glass overlook an intimate tasting patio and extensive rows of vines beyond.
Contemporary in nature, the shed roof is simple yet bold, adorned with tongue and groove ceiling and eave finish that transitions from interior to exterior. Situated behind a massive spine wall of stone, the production space and barrel storage sits hidden from view of the tasting room patrons - a hive of activity especially in the fall months.
Unique to some other wineries in the area, the owners decided to incorporate a distillery as part of the production and tasting experience which elevates the concept even further. Still in the entitlement phase, we anticipate ground break in 2025.
