When the owner of Park 1039 came to Isaman Design with the concept of a gourmet wine and cheese shop in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo, we jumped at the opportunity to be involved. His vision was an extremely high-end deli, with goods sourced from all over the world. While the intent was not to become a full fledged restaurant, a range of meats, cheeses and light bites are featured on the menu to accompany the vast collection of wines available for purchase and tasting. The owner hand picked a team of talented chefs, sous chefs and Sommeliers to round out the operations team, leading to an ultra refined menu and atmosphere. The clean, contemporary interior and smooth finish surfaces create a nice juxtaposition with the original masonry walls that contain the space. This spot is one of a kind for San Luis Obispo, so next time you are strolling downtown, be sure to stop into 1039 Chorro Street for a glass of wine!
